——廖伟成绘画艺术的当代价值

伟成绘画作品即将上线，嘱我谈些观点。诚然，与伟成从未谋面，但以画会友神交已久，每次我们各自创作了新作，都会通过微信交流见解。久而久之，在对艺术理想和追求的相互了解中，成为了志同道合的朋友。
思考良久后，我感到艺术家的绘画风格和艺术语言是建立在一定文化实践下的量的积累，进而塑造成为一种综合有效的思想情感的表达方式。与其把这些已被大家公认的面貌当作再次表达的元素，倒不如换一种角度，而我则倾向于从与艺术家的交流中获得信息，并分析他的主张和想法，以此为全面认识他的艺术风格和理想，提供新的参考。
从与伟成的交流中，我认为他的绘画艺术主要彰显为精神层面的纯粹性，创作层面的独特性和沟通层面的包容性。
首先，伟成的绘画艺术是将正能量颂扬和提升的过程。作为自我艺术创作的核心价值，他的作品体现在建构成熟的人物头像符号之中，以此成为支配他创作的一种精神力量，这种积极健康的能量信息，给伟成带来的不仅是一种激情和活力，更是他那种阳光之心的幸福感。
他在绘画中建构的符号化的人物神态，扑面而来的构图张力、肆意纵横的线条力度，活泼奔放的色彩情绪都会在这种正能量的支配下，彰显出阳光的灿烂和暖意。正所谓，所有的艺术形态都是为了这个正能量的表达实现着各自魅力。伟成的人物形象是在意象思维框架下的形态塑造，它既不是具象的体现，也不是抽象的表达，而是在两者之间寻找一种阐释自我价值主张的媒介，由此更准确的指向伟成的正能量艺术追求和他人生的价值取向。而意象头像中的眼神刻画，也聚焦了正能量艺术的内涵，正如伟成所说的那样，“我的作品不能全抽象的，因为我是研究正能量艺术，需要有眼神、表情及感情的交流而产生正能量意义”。
可见，正能量的艺术不是一个简单的概念，而是由作者的核心价值心态和艺术的各种元素汇集而成，又以象征性或喻意的方式展开各种的艺术联想，在赋予其情感和审美原则的基础上，使正能量的精神深入到自我的艺术作品之中，在创作中强化了视觉艺术的传播功能，达到了作者的创作意图，形成了自我理解的正能量艺术特征，也因此在感染自己的同时，感染他人。伟成正是在这种精神层面中，极力地将正能量转换为一种释放自我的视觉张力，创造性的发展正能量的艺术效果，从而将个人艺术不断推向新的高度。
其次，伟成绘画作品的另一特征即为创作层面的独特性，他曾经说过：“创新是以自然顺意的笔法产生乱而不乱的艺术感觉，以及表达出冷暖层次与立体效应，进而作品变成独立性和稀有性，无法仿制。艺术就是找出突破点，如你在框架里看，你就很难找出突破，如你能明白如何跳出来框架外看他们，然后找出不一样的创新，或许你才有机会找到艺术的答案”。
正基于此，伟成是以人物头像作为艺术创新的基础载体，是在已经成熟的格式化的框架下进行的项目式的风格探索，每一个创新的思想和行为都以所关注的人生现实和社会现实为主题，以思想和方向的指向带动技艺和风格的演变，是先建立自我的观念坐标和艺术追求，然后再围绕着自我的认知和对人生社会的理解之后展开的创新和创造力活动。以这样一种观念带动记忆的艺术创作，会使自我的创造活动具有很强的针对性和指向性，因而形成了伟成的当代艺术特征。
再次，伟成的绘画作品体现为一种建立在现代思维方式下的包容性，这不仅是因为在他的作品中，可以感受到为艺术奉献自我的社会理想，更通过一种具有人间关怀的坦诚相见，使观众可以体会到他在沟通现代与历史过程中试图展开的对话性和多样性。
今天的艺术，更加强调艺术家的意图和创作的过程，强调艺术家在知行合一之后产生的认识世界和表达世界的思想态度和言说水平，而材料的选择和技艺、手段的变化，是在思想观念支配下的行为方式，倘若没有超凡的思想和深刻的观念，以及对大千世界的高度理解和认知，再好的技艺也会失去光彩，流于一般。
伟成的作品正是建立在这种框架下的思考，他关于绘画语言在个性化与世界化，本土化与现代化的双重身份协调中，试图用自己的艺术创作解读其中意义。而同时，他不断地展示他创作的新作品和其中的观念意图，以此推进自我的艺术创新实践，为个人作品建立一个形态多样而又极富弹性空间的思想领域。而这也正是一位深处当代文化语境下的艺术家，所具有的表现力与生命力。

编后语
水墨与油画的结合，传统与现代的结合，画内与画外的结合，艺术与思想的结合，走一条与众不同的艺术之路，这是马来西亚艺术家廖伟成给我们的启示。
看似笨拙，实是古朴，看似随意，实是熟虑，看似无章，实是有序。廖伟成的探索之路值得肯定。
