苏武慢·寒夜闻角
况周颐
愁入云遥，
寒禁霜重，
红烛泪深人倦。
情高转抑，
思往难回，
凄咽不成清变。
风际断时，
迢递天街，
但闻更点。
任教人回首，
少年丝竹，
玉容歌管。
凭作出、百绪凄凉，
凄凉惟有，
花冷月闲庭院。
珠帘绣幕，
可有人听?
听也可曾肠断?
除却塞鸿，
遮莫城乌，
替人惊惯。
料南枝明月，
应减红香一半。

况周颐（1859-1926），字夔笙，别号玉梅词人、玉梅词隐。广西临桂（今桂林）人，原籍湖南宝庆。著有《蕙风词》《蕙风词话》等。
KUANG Zhouyi (1859-1926), styled Kui’s Flute, Wintersweet Lyricist or Wintersweet Lyrics Hermit by literary name, a native of Lingui (present-day Guilin), Guangxi. His ancestral home was Baoqing, Hunan. Kuang’s works include Lyrics of Warm Spring Windand Lyrics Review of Warm Spring Wind. (王佩译)
Hearing a Horn on a Cold Night

To the blue soars my rue;
Coldness and frost accrue.
The candle sheds tears as tired I grow.
The spirit’s on the wane;
I can’t take back my pain;
Now it is a hard thing to sustain.
After the horn has gone,
From the boulevard yon,
The water clock drips on.
Now I look back on what has been:
When I was a boy teen,
On belles ’nd songs I was keen.
The horn is sad, solitary its sound;
Just dreariness around
Cold the flowers, moonlight on the yard’s ground
The pearly screen and blind,
Someone listens behind?
Are sorriness and sadness combined?
Only wild geese in flight,
Crows keep the town off light.
They’ve been used to the fright.
The moon bright the southern twigs face;
Half gone is the fragrance and red grace.
