can’t/couldn’t be helped许多人想当然地译为：不可能帮助，没有用处，它不能被帮助。如：

Oh dear! I’ve broken a window.

Never mind. It can’t be help.

哦，天哪，我打碎了一扇窗户。

不要紧，这是免不了的/这是难免的。（错误译法：不要紧，它没有用了。）

实际上can’t/couldn’t be helped是个固定用法，译为：

不可避免，难免的，别无选择的；事已至此；只能这样了，没有办法的事；无可挽回，不可救药；事情就是这样没办法了
