As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on.Water pollution cause many kinds of disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lungcancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition will be damaged.
In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution. Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the action of protecting the environment.This is a good sign. Rivers are being cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of protecting the environment.
However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers or give off the toxic gas into thesky. We should know that protecting the environment needs everybody’s effort.
我们都知道，污染对生物有很大危害。在这个世界上，有许多不同类型的污染。例如：水污染，空气污染，噪音污染等等。水污染会使人们生病，甚至死亡。脏空气会使患肺癌的几率上升。而噪音污染会让人失眠。人们的健康水平会下降。
在我看来，人们应该采取措施去保护环境。最近，不仅仅是政府部门，个人也参与到环保中去。这是个好现象。河流干净了，空气清新了，人们也意识到环保的重要性。
然而，这些还远远不够。问题依旧存在。不是所有的问题都得到了解决。一些工厂依旧往河流里面排放污水，向天空排放有毒气体。我们应该谨记环境保护需要每个人的努力。

Stepping into the new century, environment pollution has become more serious than ever since. There are different kinds of pollution. Such as, water pollution, air pollution and noisepollution and so on. It seems that we live on a planet which is full of pollution. Where all these pollution comes from? To a large extend, the environmental destruction is the heavy price thatwe pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel, people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly tomeet. Countless private cars on the street, the gas stations are short of gasoline, even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline, but it’sstill not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However, the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into therivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.
进入新世界以来，环境污染比任何时候都要严峻。有各式各样的污染：水污染，空气污染，噪音污染等等。看起来我们活着一个四周都是污染源的星球。那么，这些污染是从何而来的呢?在很大程度上，环境被破坏就是我们为快速的经济增长和人口增加所付出的惨烈代价。为了得到更多的能源，人们砍伐树木，挖更多的煤矿，但是还是难以维持日益增长的需求。不计其数的私家车充斥着公路，加油站的汽油严重短缺，政府多次上调油价也未能阻止私家车对汽油的需求。自然资源的过度利用已经影响到了生态平衡。然而，工厂依旧向外排放有毒气体，把工业废水倒入河里。人们依旧缺乏保护环境的意识。我认为人们应该做些事情了。
The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environmentprotection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories topour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean andfresh again. Only in this way, our earth could be a better place to live in.
政府应该施行一些更为严格的法律来防止环境被进一步的破坏掉。他们应该让人们了解到保护环境的重要性。我们要在保持经济发展和环境保护中找到平衡点。在沙漠中植树造林，停止砍伐森林。禁止工厂往河流里直接排放废水。鼓励人们用交通工具上班。政府和普通民众都应该携手保护环境，让我们的家园变得干净整洁。只有这样，我们的地球才能更适合人类居住。

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more andmore frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our generalpeople, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public transportation. The most important is that wemust realize that we can do a lot of things to protect our environment. It's our duty to make our home better. Let’s change from ourselves.
